Even though I typically think of desert as arid, there are brightly colored flowers on vines and in trees. Like little sprinkles of confetti.

In Phoenix, I saw very light green, almost spiky palm trees. Not the lush ones of the Caribbean, but ones that looked like they had been bleached out by the sun. These inspired the name of this collection, 'Bleached.'

I always thought of cacti as bright green, and so upon discovering this is not the case, I fell in love with the purple ombre and dusty green cacti I saw in Phoenix and Tucson.
